Following a positive evaluation by the European Commission, on June 26, 2024, the Dr. Franjo Tuđman Defence and Security University was awarded the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). This Charter establishes all the prerequisites for upcoming international cooperation, student exchanges, and staff mobility within the Erasmus+ programme.

Obtaining the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education is of great importance for the processes of professionalization, modernization, internationalization, and active participation of the Dr. Franjo Tuđman Defence and Security University in international activities and projects at the level of the European Union, NATO member states, and worldwide.

In February 2024, the University submitted a comprehensive application for obtaining the ECHE Charter, which is a key requirement for all higher education institutions located in programme countries that wish to participate in learning mobility of individuals and cooperation aimed at achieving innovation and good practices within the Erasmus+ programme. This Charter also represents a general quality framework for European and international cooperation activities that such institutions can implement within Erasmus+.
