Course Description

Description of satellite communication systems. Trajectory.launching. placement and maintenance of satellites in orbit. Features of transmitter and receiver. Features, architecture and interface of the earth satellite station (antennas, transmitter part). Characteristics and types of modulation procedures, multiple access and coding in satellite communications. Basic link quality parameters and link budget in military satellite systems. Data satellite links. Overview of the frequency spectrum and norms. Satellite navigation. Features and specifics of military satellites.
