Forms of Teaching
ectures are delivered in a traditional format, supported by presentations and examples from scientific and professional practice. Core concepts of academic writing are covered, including the classification of scientific and professional papers, paper structure (IMRAD model), research methodology, academic integrity, and citation and referencing standards. Students are encouraged to actively participate through discussion and analysis of good and poor practice examples.
Seminars and workshopsSeminar sessions are organized as interactive workshops in which students, individually or in small groups, develop their selected research topics. Activities include literature analysis, outlining the paper structure, formulating research questions and methodology, and applying citation rules in practice. Continuous feedback and guidance are provided throughout the development of the seminar paper.
ExercisesPractical sessions focus on the application of acquired knowledge, including searching library catalogues and academic databases, working in computer classrooms, formatting documents in MS Word, creating tables and graphical representations in MS Excel, and preparing presentations in MS PowerPoint. Students practice technical formatting in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.
Independent assignmentsStudents are required to prepare a seminar paper in accordance with predefined methodological and technical instructions. Independent assignments include literature selection and analysis, drafting the paper outline, writing and formatting the text, and preparing an oral and visual presentation (PowerPoint or poster). Assignments must be submitted within the prescribed deadlines and constitute an integral part of the continuous assessment process.
